About Our Ads Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Georgia football, fresh off an open date on its schedule, plays Florida Saturday Oct. 31, in the annual clash between the border rivals.
The game has shifted from Jacksonville to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta this year because of construction going on at EverBank Stadium, home of the NFL Jaguars.
The No. 3 Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) are coming off a 27-24 upset loss to Auburn on Oct. 17 in Athens.
The No. 20 Gators (5-2, 3-2) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 27-24 win at Texas on the same day.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart will face first-year Gators coach Jon Sumrall for the first time.
The Bulldogs have won the last five games against Florida including 24-20 last season.
The Bulldogs spent last week working to improve for the stretch run.
"One of the glaring things to us is we want to tackle better," coach Kirby Smart said. "We're higher in missed tackles than we've been in years past. That's a big target area for us. We think missed tackles are up as a whole across college football, so we're not immune to that. We're part of that problem, but how do we do it better than they do it?"
