Tsarukyan defeated Danis by 10-0 technical fall in the main eventof RAF 14 on Oct. 23 in Las Vegas. The Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight subsequentlyexpressed interest in facing the retired MMA legend as he looks tocompete against more recognizable names under the RAF banner.
After his victory, Tsarukyan said he wants to wrestle establishedMMA stars, identifying St. Pierre as a potential opponent. "We've got a lot of names here, but I'm focusing on MMA fighterswith the big names," Tsarukyan said. "I don't want to just wrestlewith no names; I want to collect all big names, all the bestfighters, so a lot of UFC fighters, good fighters signed. So, we'llsee, maybe GSP… They can bring in GSP; I would like to wrestlehim." St. Pierre (26-2) announced his retirement in February 2019. Helast competed in November 2017, submitting MichaelBisping to capture the UFC middleweight championship.Meanwhile, Tsarukyan (24-3) remains a leading contender for the UFClightweight title.
