Blake Lively, 39, Reveals Extensive Beauty Treatments to Look Like She’s in the “First Trimester of Life”

Blake Lively, 39, revealed her extensive nighttime beauty routine in a photo posted to her Instagram Stories on October 29.

The mom of four jokingly said she hoped the treatments—including several targeted face masks—would make her look like she’s in the “first trimester of life.”

Lively’s photo comes just a few days after she shared a makeup-free video in honor of Ryan Reynolds’s 50th birthday.

Blake Lively is taking the nighttime skincare routine to the next level. On October 28, the Gossip Girl alum caught fans by surprise with a sneak peek into her elaborate skincare regimen, which featured a sheet mask from every shelf of the beauty aisle.

“Natural beauty is effortless,” she captioned a selfie posted to her Instagram Stories. Fittingly, she added “Glamorous” by Fergie, featuring Ludacris over the snapshot. The photo featured Lively wearing a fuzzy robe and several targeted face masks layered on top of one another. “If I don’t look like I’m in the first trimester of life after this much effort, I quit,” one thought bubble above her head read.

Sitting in a dark room, Lively appeared to be in a homemade “spa” of her own creation, complete with appropriate mood lighting. “My [kids’] star projector that I stole is a vibe tho,” added the mom of four, who was also rocking a red-light skin therapy mask on her head.

Her entire nighttime setup featured a full face mask, collagen eye masks, and sheet masks along either side of her nose. Taking a moment to reflect on her skincare journey and how it’s evolved over the years, Lively playfully added, “I miss the 2000s when we just used that [hand soap] with the fish characters on it on our face & called it a day.”

Lively’s Instagram post comes just a few days after she posted a makeup-free video in celebration of Ryan Reynolds’s 50th birthday. “Happy Birthday to my manny, @vancityreynolds,” she jokingly captioned a video of her husband rocking their dog in a black-and-white houndstooth baby carrier. Standing beside Reynolds in their kitchen, Lively went makeup-free while rocking a pair of blue-and-green striped pajamas as she affectionately rested her hand on Reynolds’s upper back.
