Think of the most tired you have ever been. The eyes barely staying open, bone-deep exhaustion. That’s nothing compared to how these little dogs feel. “No matter how tired you are, you’ll never be as tired as an unemployed Frenchie.” If you don’t believe it, look no further than this video as proof.

In the clip, we first see the little face of a sleeping black French Bulldog. As the camera pans, a brown variety appears, snoozing as well. Finally, out pops the white one (and by pops we mean zonked). The three guys obviously live their best lives. “It’s hard work eating and sleeping all day,” the caption explains. Clearly.

The top comment from @Yogi nailed it with, “Omg, this is too much squishy face cuteness. They’re so adorable.” @reo.rolo.the.frenchies added, “The paws.” You really need a second viewing (or a third or a twelfth) to appreciate the feets. “The pink just kills me,” the creator responded.

Why Do French Bulldogs Sleep So Much?

Dogs sleep a lot more than the average human. Puppies sometimes spend 20 hours per day out for the count. As they pass the first six months or so, that number drops to about 12 hours, though some breeds sleep more and some less. Once pooches move into their golden years, the rest needs go back up. So when you have a puppy or an older beastie, expect them to spend more than half of their days hitting the hay.

Frenchies follow this pattern broadly, but they may actually catch even more z’s than the average dog. Brachycephalic breeds like French Bulldogs often snore and may suffer from sleep apnea or other issues. That means they need a few extra hours, especially during the day. This trio of sweet Frenchies clearly got the memo because they have perfected sleeping in a pile.
