Brett Goldstein might be the king of manifesting. TheTed Lassoactor and co-writer has turned his long-standing crush on Jennifer Lopez into a co-starring role in a new rom-com.
Goldstein and Joe Kelly -- who also worked on shows likeTed LassoandHow I Met Your Mother-- teamed up to writeOffice Romance, which hits Netflix on June 5.
For Goldstein, the project had one and only one possible lead. That would be Lopez. As far back as 2018, Goldstein discussed his crush on theMaid in Manhattanand theThe Wedding Plannerstaron his podcastFilms to be Buried With.It was Lopez or no one, something they didn't hide from her.

"They sent me the script and they were like, 'We wrote this for you. If you don't do it, we're not even making the movie,'"Lopez explained to PEOPLE aboutOffice Romance.
And Goldstein wasn't joking about his affinity for Lopez and her work. In a recent publicity bit for the upcoming rom-com, the singer quizzed her co-star on his favorite topic: her. To no one's surprise -- except maybe hers -- Goldstein crushed it.
