Philadelphia Eagles standout Brandon Graham had a storybook ending to his NFL career. After winning the Super Bowl last season, Graham walked away from the game a champion.

But sometimes a sequel is necessary. Following the sudden retirement of Za'Darius Smith, Graham is mulling coming out of retirement to help his former team, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Graham, 37, was selected by the Eagles in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. After being a part-time starter early in his career, Graham developed into a full-time starter in 2015. He excelled in the role, being named a second-team All-Pro and making a Pro Bowl during his starting run.

A torn Achilles in 2021 limited Graham to just two games that season. He returned to the franchise in a reserve role and played in 45 games with the Eagles over his final three seasons.

Though 4-2, the Eagles are scuffling to begin the 2025 NFL season. Philadelphia ranks 15th in points scored and 19th in points against to open the year. Last season, the team ranked seventh in points scored and second in points against.

While Smith wasn't producing at an elite level when he retired, his loss will be felt. Smith had 10 tackles this season, including 1.5 sacks. Graham will presumably be used in a similar role if he decides to return for a 16th season.
