Police appeal for help in hunt for thug after 'mindless act' leaves Aberdeen defender with serious facial injury
Police are continuing their hunt for the thug who left Aberdeen defender Jack MacKenzie with a serious facial injury after throwing a broken chair on to the Tannadice pitch yesterday. The visibly-distressed 24-year-old needed lengthy medical treatment following an incident which has shocked Scottish football. The broken chair was hurled from a section of the ground housing Dons supporters after Dundee United fans had invaded the pitch to celebrate their team's European qualification following a 2-1 win.
