Stuart Pearce is taking calls from well-wishers and looking forward to returning to the UK as he continues to recover in a Canadian hospital from a health scare on a transatlantic flight from Las Vegas. The Virgin aircraft made an emergency landing in Newfoundland on Monday after the legendary England player fell ill on board. He was immediately taken to hospital where he has been recuperating since Friends and colleagues from the football and broadcasting world have been able to speak to the 62-year-old who is regarded as super-fit for his age.
