An Arsenal great has shocked fans with an image of his foot taken during the latter stages of his Gunners career which shows the horrific extent of the Achilles tendon injury he was dealing with. Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla suffered the injury in 2016 and required eight surgeries as his career came under threat. He later revealed that he almost lost his foot to gangrene after contracting a potentially life-threatening infection.
