There are times during a chat with Everton's new fan favourite Carlos Alcaraz, aided by an impressive translator, that those in the room suddenly remember a bit of GCSE Spanish. 'Loco, loco,' says the Argentine who goes by 'Charly', prompting laughs, when asked about his first taste of the Merseyside Derby. He had played 25 minutes – and very nearly scored – a few days before at home to Bournemouth but nothing could prepare Alcaraz for the emotionally-charged, ill-tempered atmosphere at Goodison Park after a famous last-minute equaliser against Liverpool.
