Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin must be starting to wonder if he ever truly left Sweden after all. Normally at this time of year, the former IF Elfsborg boss would have been content in the knowledge that his players would already be in full-scale R&R mode, feet up and just a few weeks into a well-deserved winter break following the conclusion of the football season in late November. At least they had an excuse.
