Brandon Blackstock's death certificate has been released, after the former talent manager and ex-husband of singer and TV host Kelly Clarkson died Aug. 7 at the age of 48.

According to the death certificate, which Entertainment Weekly has obtained, Blackstock's cause of death was malignant melanoma — a type of skin cancer it says he had for three years — and his manner of death is listed as natural. The document also lists seizures as the only "significant conditions contributing to death but not resulting in the underlying cause."

The death certificate states his time of death as 11:13 a.m. on Aug. 7. It also states that no autopsy was performed, and that Blackstock was cremated.

PEOPLE first reported on the details from Blackstock's death certificate.

Dan Hollis, coroner for Silver Bow County, previously confirmed the form of skin cancer as Blackstock's cause of death to EW. At the time, it was reported that Blackstock passed peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Butte, Mont.

A representative for the family said in a statement, "We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time."

Blackstock's death was reported just one day after Clarkson announced she was postponing the remainder of her Las Vegas residency at Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

"Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," she wrote on X at the time. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," she continued, referring to her daughter River Rose, 11, and son Remy, 9.

Clarkson apologized to fans, writing, "I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding."

Blackstock, who also represented Clarkson at one point, first met in 2006 at a rehearsal for the Academy of Country Music Awards and wed in 2013. After nearly seven years of marriage, they separated in 2020. Following a long and contentious legal battle over child custody, spousal support, and division of property, the two finalized their divorce in 2022.

Blackstock, who was also the former stepson of country singer Reba McEntire (his father, Narvel, and McEntire were married from 1989-2015), reportedly left talent management and moved to Montana in 2021. His death certificate lists his occupation at the time of his passing as "rodeo producer."

In addition to his children with Clarkson, Blackstock was also father to daughter Savannah, 23, and son Seth, 18, from his marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

Celebrities and Fans React to Steve Martin's Iconic Personal Milestone — 'An Absolute Legend' originally appeared on Parade.

Social media is being flooded with love, well wishes and hilarious tributes for one of Hollywood's most cherished and enduring comedic actors.

On Thursday, fans and famous friends alike took to social media to celebrate the man of the hour, Steve Martin, on his 80th birthday. The legendary actor, comedian, writer and banjo virtuoso is receiving an outpouring of affection on his special day.

From his early days as a stand-up comedian and Saturday Night Live host to beloved films like The Jerk, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Father of the Bride, Steve Martin has been a constant source of joy for generations. Now, he is delighting a whole new audience as the lovable Charles-Haden Savage on Hulu's hit TV series Only Murders in the Building, proving that true talent never goes out of style.

Leading the charge, late-night host and close friend Jimmy Kimmel shared a funny and touching birthday post on his Instagram.

"When I met this man - of whom I think so much - in the lilac room at SuperCuts, who could have guessed that we'd still be together to celebrate number 80?" Kimmel joked in the caption. "YOU CALL THIS A BIRTHDAY POST FOR @STEVEMARTINREALLY?????"

It did not take long for fans to fill the comments with their own birthday wishes and praise for Martin's long and celebrated career.

"An absolute legend!! Happy Birthday! 👏🏼♥️🫶🏼" one user wrote.

Another fan shared, "You've had me laughing for at least 50 years!! I first saw you on SNL with an arrow through your head strumming your banjo, then the King Tut skit. Classic! Keep us laughing for many more healthy birthdays!"

A third fan summed it up perfectly: "80 years young and still stealing the spotlight—teach me your ways, @SteveMartinReally."

Of course Martin's current TV series, Only Murders in the Building, could not resist joining the celebration with a hilarious prank. The show's official Instagram account posted a dapper photo with a simple caption: "Happy birthday Steve Martin."

The only catch? The photo was not of Steve Martin, but of Eugene Levy, who in season 4 of Only Murders in the Building plays an actor playing a fictionalized version of Martin's character Charles.

Fans immediately understood the assignment and played along with the faux mix-up.

"Steve, what's your secret, you look a lot younger suddenly?" one commenter joked.

Another added, "Why Steve, what gorgeous non-platinum locks you have?"

The comment that won the internet for '90s kids everywhere was another user who referenced the comedians' shared Cheaper by the Dozen 2film history. "Oh yea," the fan quipped, "its the guy who was always Jealous because he only had 8 kids and Steve Martin has 12."

It is clear from the tidal wave of affection that blanketed the internet on his 80th birthday that whether he is playing the banjo, solving a murder or just getting a haircut with Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Martin remains an absolute treasure to fans and famous friends alike.
