There are many reasons people think that Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ: COST) is the best-run retailer in America. For example, it offers a $1.50 hot dog as a loss leader and has refused to raise its price. Costco has done the impossible. It makes billions of dollars by enticing people to shop in its stores.

Costco also gets deals from major car companies to offer customers (which it calls its "members") large discounts. The program has some real benefit, as the average price of a new car in America is approaching $50,000.

Members can currently get deals on the Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Polestar, and Volvo brands. Depending on the model, discounts range between $1,000 and $2,000. The members receive certificates that they take to dealers.

"Our goal is to deliver a great value and experience on the vehicles Costco members purchase year-round," said Jay Maxwell, Costco Auto Program general manager. The new deals run until January 2.

Presumably, while the deal is good for Costco, it is at least as good for the car companies. Cadillac falls into this category specifically. It operates in one of the most competitive segments of the car market: luxury cars. And it does not do very well. It sits well behind Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW in unit sales. It has not gained any ground in market share for decades.

Cadillac has several disadvantages. For instance, it has a tiny model line. Cadillac's competition sells dozens of models, from sedans to crossovers and SUVs. They offer gasoline-powered and electric models, as well as hybrids.

Cadillac is an SUV and crossover company that also sells a few sedans. The Costco deal gets at least a few people through the door. Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus already have that.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Germany's BioNTech on Monday lifted its 2025 revenue guidance after receiving initial payments from its new partner Bristol Myers Squibb in a cancer immunotherapy alliance that seeks to challenge Merck's best-selling Keytruda.

BioNTech, Pfizer's partner on COVID-19 vaccines, said it was projecting full-year revenue of 2.6 billion euros ($3.03 billion) to 2.8 billion euros, up from a previous guidance range of 1.7 billion to 2.2 billion euros.

Earlier this year, Bristol agreed to pay up to $11.1 billion in the partnership deal over time, depending on achievements.

BioNTech said on Monday that the partners extended their clinical trial programme for the cancer drug in question, pumitamig, during the third quarter and would add more trials by next year.

The German biotech firm said third-quarter revenue gained 22% to 1.52 billion euros.

BioNTech is pivoting its focus to cancer drugs, which are expected to drive future growth of the company, as revenue from its COVID-19 vaccine steadily decline from their pandemic era highs.

Bon Jovi dropped exciting news to fans ahead of their highly anticipated Forever Tour.

Before October came to a close, the iconic rock band surprised the public by announcing its return to live touring.

In an Instagram post, frontman Jon Bon Jovi delivered an emotional message highlighting the joy and excitement of reuniting with their fans.

"There is a lot of joy in this announcement – joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together. I am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience – I get to stand in the WE of our concerts," he wrote as posted on the band's official Instagram.

Moreover, he expressed his deep gratitude not only to their fans but also for the brotherhood the band has formed throughout the years and for allowing him the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring.

The post also included the exciting lineup, which will kick off at Madison Square Garden with four initially proposed shows in New York City starting July 7.

After the U.S. tour, the "Livin' on a Prayer" hitmakers will fly to the United Kingdom to perform at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Aug. 28, followed by a one-night show in Ireland on Aug. 30. The tour continues on Sept. 4 at Wembley Stadium.

However, amid growing anticipation from the public, Bon Jovi announced more tour dates, including five additional shows at Madison Square Garden, wrapping up on July 26.

The same excitement carried over to London, where the band added a second night at Wembley Stadium.

Days later, following the update, the "Never Say Goodbye" chart-toppers added a third and final Wembley show, marking the last performance of the Forever Tour.

According to the post, the move was made in response to strong public demand.

A post shared by Bon Jovi (@bonjovi)

"London! Due to overwhelming demand, we're adding a 3rd show at Wembley. Grab your tickets on bonjovi.com tomorrow, November 3, at 12PM GMT to join us!" the post reads.

The Forever Tour marks their return to touring following their successful This House Is Not for Sale Tour in 2017-19. Though they had a short stint at touring in 2022, the band went on a touring hiatus due to the lead singer's health issues.

In 2022, the 63-year-old icon underwent major surgery to treat a severe vocal cord injury.

"I sought out a surgeon who explained to me that one of my vocal cords had literally atrophied," he said in an interview as cited by FOX News. "It was dying."

Thankfully, he's made a full recovery and is once again hitting the road with the much-awaited tour.

Tom Bergeron has been posting a lot of memories from his days as the host of Dancing With the Stars. The beloved TV host, who helmed the ABC celebrity ballroom reception from 2005 to 2019, spent a few years after his departure not saying the show's name. (Footwork With the Famous, anyone?) But in recent months, he's not only talking about Dancing with the Stars, he's also celebrating it.

Bergeron's Instagram page is filled with nostalgic posts tagged with @dancingwiththestars and #20thanniversary. Most recently, he posted his favorite Halloween moments from DWTS, but he also posted the Season 34 ratings along with kudos to showrunner Conrad Green for the "revitalization" of the show.

A post shared by Tom Bergeron (@tombergeron)

Bergeron has long said he has no interest in returning to DWTS, but the turnaround in his Instagram activity has fans wondering if he's set to make a cameo for the show's 20th Anniversary/Birthday Party episode, which will air on Nov. 11.

In a thread on the r/dancingwiththestars subreddit, one fan wrote, "Anyone else desperately hoping that Tom will somehow be involved in next week's episode, whether as a guest judge or just make an appearance or whatnot for the 20th Anniversary Special?""I feel like he'll be a guest judge," one fan wrote.

"I think he'll be involved for sure. Probably a guest judge," another agreed.

"Him as a guest judge makes more sense than having Gene Simmons. You'd think that after hosting the show for over 10 years he'd pick up on some of the ballroom Latin rules," another Reddit user wrote.

One thing is for sure: Bergeron won't fill in for current DWTS host Alfonso Ribeiro.

When a commenter on Instagram told Bergeron fans were hoping to see him "do a little hosting during the DWTS Birthday special," Bergeron replied, "You won't see me hosting, but, as I'll likely be traveling, you'll at least see a video message from me."

Fans still think there will be more than a video message from Bergeron, based on his comments last summer. In a previous interview with USA Today, the Emmy winner revealed he had been in touch with Green. "We did have lunch, and we did talk, and I offered a scenario where I might come back for a night in a certain capacity," Bergeron told the outlet in July. "The mirrorball is back in their court."

Hoyeon on Her Next Chapter After Squid Game Sharif Hamza

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."

Hoyeon is makeup-free as she checks in to our video call from her apartment in Seoul, wearing a loose khaki T-shirt from the Japanese brand Kapital, her naturally wavy hair scraped back in a messy ponytail. This isn't the first time we've met—I interviewed the 31-year-old actress and model a few months before her 2022 win at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, when she was living through the whirlwind of Squid Game success.

Back then, Hoyeon seemed thrilled about the show but also a little shell-shocked. "Everything was just so chaotic and hectic," she recalls now. "I felt like I had to learn on the fly and improvise every moment. But now I have a lot more room to think, to reflect on myself and learn about myself. I've become more used to the life of an actor."

Jacket and earrings, Louis Vuitton. Sharif Hamza -

Beauty Tip: Maximalist beauty is back. Wear scarlet lips and sapphire eyelids with clean, glowing skin for an elevated finish. Try La Beauté Louis Vuitton LV Ombres in Sky Is the Limit 950 and La Beauté Louis Vuitton LV Rouge in Unexplored 505.

Hoyeon's busy acting life includes two projects expected next year: the Korean sci-fi film Hope with Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender, and the psychological thriller The Hole with The White Lotus star Theo James. The first time that Vikander met Hoyeon was at a Louis Vuitton fashion show, when she told her that she'd been bingeing Squid Game with her husband (Fassbender), like the rest of the world. Vikander praises the depth that Hoyeon brought to her role, saying, "Onscreen, she [transmits] an immense amount of rawness, which is the kind of acting that I like and admire—people who dare to be kind of naked and show their human side; to be able to be extremely open toward the lens and camera. She's a brave actress."

Hoyeon is also a new face of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, the house's first beauty collection, created by legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath. "The palette, the packaging—it just makes one's heart flutter," Hoyeon sighs dreamily. Her first runway show with Louis Vuitton was nearly a decade ago, three years after claiming second place on Korea's Next Top Model. "Louis Vuitton and I, we go way back—we have a lot of history together," she enthuses, then corrects herself. "We are still making history together."

Cape, dress, earrings, Louis Vuitton. Sharif Hamza -

Beauty Tip: A berry lip is always a talking point—just add a whisper of luminosity on the eyes. Try La Beauté Louis Vuitton LV Ombres in Beige Memento 150 and La Beauté Louis Vuitton LV Rouge in Volcano Heart 113.

In fact, a few weeks after we speak, she debuts as a star of the line's new fall 2025 fashion campaign alongside Emma Stone. "Nicolas [Ghesquière, the brand's artistic director for women's collections] is one of my best supporters," she says. "One of the things he said that really stuck with me was, 'Hoyeon, young models are learning that they can do both modeling and acting by looking at you. That's helping them know they don't have to choose one out of the two.'"

Jumper, ring, Louis Vuitton. Sharif Hamza

Those words were a balm, coming at just the right time for Hoyeon, who was second-guessing whether she could balance her two callings. "It helped me to believe in myself and follow my instincts," she says, looking thoughtfully off into the distance. "There was a time when I was getting in my head thinking about these things." These days, she's much more serene, more self-assured in her own talents, and no longer the lonely young woman who cried on the transatlantic flight that moved her from Seoul to New York. She's leapt from modeling to Hollywood, taking it all in her stride. "I don't want to call this necessarily a jump, but I think that I'm going on a great journey, step by step," she says. We're just lucky to be joining her for the ride.

(Reuters) -Cisco Systems launched a computing device on Monday that will run artificial intelligence workloads at local entities such as retail stores, factory floors and healthcare facilities, speeding up their AI data processing capabilities.

The new platform, named "Cisco Unified Edge," is an attempt to bring AI infrastructure closer to where the data is created - on shop and factory floors, for example - as traditional data centers become overburdened with complex commands, especially as agentic and reasoning models drive up network traffic.

The Cisco platform features an Intel chip and has seen an early adopter in Verizon. It is expected to be generally available by the end of the year.

Tech firms have committed tens of billions of dollars to expand their data center operations to accommodate the soaring use of AI models.

"As AI agents and experiences proliferate, they will naturally emerge closer to where customers interact and decisions are made – the branch office, retail store, factory floor, stadium, and more," said Cisco's Chief Product Officer Jeetu Patel.

Microsoft has entered into a $9.7 billion cloud services contract with artificial intelligence cloud service provider IREN that will give it access to some of Nvidia's chips.

The five-year deal, which includes a 20% prepayment, will help Microsoft as it looks to keep up with AI demand. Last week the software maker reported its quarterly sales grew 18% to $77.7 billion, beating Wall Street expectations while also surprising some investors with the huge amounts of money it is spending to expand its cloud computing infrastructure and address the growing need for AI tools.

Microsoft spent nearly $35 billion in the July-September quarter on capital expenditures to support AI and cloud demand, nearly half of that on computer chips and much of the rest related to data center real estate.

"IREN's expertise in building and operating a fully integrated AI cloud — from data centers to GPU stack — combined with their secured power capacity makes them a strategic partner," Jonathan Tinter, president of business development and ventures at Microsoft, said in a statement. "This collaboration unlocks new growth opportunities for both companies and the customers we serve."

Microsoft also announced new deal with OpenAI last week that pushed the Redmond, Washington, company to $4 trillion in valuation for the second time this year. The agreement gives the software giant a roughly 27% stake in OpenAI's new for-profit corporation but changes some of the details of their close partnership. Microsoft's $135 billion stake will be just ahead of the OpenAI nonprofit's $130 billion stake in the for-profit company.

IREN also said Monday that it signed a deal with Dell Technologies to buy the chips and ancillary equipment for about $5.8 billion. The Australian company anticipates the chips being deployed in phases through next year at its Childress, Texas campus.

Shares of IREN jumped 22% before the opening bell in the U.S. Shares of Microsoft rose slightly,.

Pat Boone shared a rare photo of himself and his daughters. On Nov. 2, the legendary singer posted to Instagram after spending the day with his daughters Cherry Lynn, Linda Lee, Debby, and Laury. The famous clan posed on the stairway of their longtime family home in Beverly Hills, with Papa Boone, 91, all smiles right in front.

"My four beautiful daughters came for a visit today to the house we've called home for 65 years," Boone captioned the photo. "Lots of stories, memories, and laughter. I'm a very proud daddy."

Fans and famous friends reacted to the post in the comment section, with one describing the photo as a "very special Daddy, Daughters picture." Others told Boone how "blessed" he was.

"Beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️," wrote pal Nancy Sinatra.

A post shared by Pat Boone (@thepatboone)

Boone married his wife, Shirley Foley, in 1953, and they welcomed their four daughters between 1954 and 1960. Shirley died at home in 2019 at age 84, surrounded by her family, according to People magazine.

Boone has been outspoken about his family life and how strict he was when he raised his daughters in the 1960s and '70s. In June, he shared a Facebook post for Father's Day as he looked back on his life as a dad of four girls and the set of "rules" he created when they were teenagers.

"Father's Day brings up a lot of memories," he wrote. "Imagine raising four teenage daughters at once! That's when we started the Pat Boone Family Act, so I could keep an eye on them, and we could sing together as a family."

"I'll never forget when we were on the Merv Griffin Show," the singer added. "He asked my girls what I was strictest about. One of them said, 'Respect.' The audience actually applauded. Cherry, our oldest, later said, 'Yes, we're missing out. We're missing out on trouble.' That moment stayed with me. I'm proud of that. I'm thankful for the home Shirley and I built and the values we shared with our girls."

In a 2024 interview with Baltimore Media Blog, Boone's daughter Debby—the most famous of the four sisters due to her 1977 hit song "You Light Up My Life"— revealed that her parents' "mission" was to keep their childhoods "as normal as possible."

When asked how she stayed "grounded" after having a massive solo hit when she was still a teenager, Debby told Closer Weekly, "Well, I was still living at home. My mom would say, 'You haven't cleaned the cat box in four days. Get upstairs.'"

Princess Kate Middleton's hidden hobby — and the way the royal spends her free time — is bringing authenticity and resilience to her public image, royal experts told Fox News Digital.

"Princess Catherine has many surprising hobbies and the majority of these align with her love for the great outdoors," royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. Kate has taken up the newest hobby of meditation, reportedly under the guidance of renowned photographer, Chris Levine.

"Princess Catherine says the practice can be just as beneficial as medication," Chard noted. "Meditation gives her balance and peace and is a winner when it comes to overcoming anxiety."

Kate's outdoors approach has been characterized as a "rural renaissance," royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital. "Her regular normal Britishness of her treasuring traditions rooted in the wholesomeness of the countryside render her even more appealing to middle-class families as well as rural voters who grew up with such authenticity and resilience."

Prince Philip Gave Kate Middleton Blunt Warning About Surviving Royal Life

Kate Middleton's hidden hobby and how she spends her time make her the most relatable royal, experts say.

"It's this most genuine sincerity, versus the seeking of status, that add to her overall appeal, reflected in YouGov polls with her being the most popular royal after Prince William," she added.

Although her connection to nature isn't new, royal commentator Amanda Matta told Fox News Digital it has become "more central" to the princess' public image in the last year.

"Framing time outdoors as her 'hobby' works because it's so accessible. Who can't achieve a walk in the woods?"

"It reinforces the idea of Kate as grounded and relatable, someone who genuinely enjoys the same simple pleasures as the rest of us," Matta added.

Prince William And Kate Middleton's Big Move Forces Two Families Out Of Their Homes

Princess Kate, Prince William and Prince Harry take part in a race during a training day for the Heads Together team for the London Marathon at Olympic Park on February 5, 2017.

Princess Kate also dabbles in a handful of additional hobbies – including sports.

"As far as other hobbies, I think people forget that Kate is genuinely sporty," Matta told Fox News Digital. "She's biked, windsurfed, rock-climbed, and gone abseiling in front of the cameras. There are also sweet stories about her playing rugby with her kids in the garden at Anmer Hall and going paddleboarding nearby."

"She once shared that her children's happiest moments are outdoors, whether it's catching tadpoles or baking in the garden, and that really encapsulates her priorities," Matta added. "She's the mom who would rather see her kids in muddy clothes than get too much screen time, as she recently referenced in her Center for Early Childhood essay on the 'epidemic of disconnection.'"

Kate has turned her royal duties into "something more human," according to Matta.

"Whether it's gardening at a charity visit or bug hunting alongside students, she makes engagements feel natural instead of ceremonial," the royal expert explained. "After a year defined by cancer recovery, Kate clearly wants to project groundedness and perspective. The outdoor imagery we keep seeing says a lot in that regard. It's a visual language of revitalization. Nature has become her shorthand for strength."

Kate Middleton takes part in a Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team abseiling training exercise on April 27, 2023, in Wales.

The princess revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 and confirmed she was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.

By January 2025, the Princess of Wales was in remission.

"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery," she wrote in a statement shared on social media. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."

Another reported passion for the princess is weightlifting "to strengthen her body core," royal expert and former royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital — a must after her cancer recovery.

Prince William believes one of his wife's hobbies is the "craziest of them all." Apparently, Princess Kate enjoys swimming in extremely cold streams and pools in the dark.

"Kate thinks this is totally invigorating," Pelham Turner said.

"Prince William thinks she is amusing and slightly bonkers as she searches for cold water, even in rainy darkness," Chard confirmed. "It gives her a real mood boost."

Princess Kate Middleton is well liked by the British public.

Princess Kate's "down-to-earth personality" along with her collaborative, friendly and caring approach to life has given her a good position with the public.

"Catherine's positive attitude as she carries out Royal business, her early years work with passion, duty, commitment and hard work all with a bright smile is commendable," Chard noted.

"The future of the monarchy is bright with Princess Catherine and her husband at the helm and this is the news we should be shouting from the rooftops."

(Reuters) -Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Monday the Trump administration would shutter the U.S. aviation system if he thought an ongoing government shutdown was making it unsafe to travel.

"If we thought that it was unsafe... we'll shut the whole airspace down. We won't let people travel. We're not there at this point. It's just significant delays," Duffy told CNBC, adding "absolutely there's more risk" during the ongoing shutdown.

Ego Nwodim is sharing what life has been like since leaving Saturday Night Live — and teasing what we can expect from her next.

Nwodim, who announced her exit from the iconic sketch show ahead of the current 51st season, caught up with PEOPLE exclusively while attending the Women's Wear Daily (WWD) Honors Gala in N.Y.C. on Oct. 28. During the conversation, the comedian — who appeared on the show for seven seasons — revealed that life has been good since leaving the series.

"It's been really great," Ego, 37, says.

She adds, "I've been getting to work on projects of my own and collaborate with new people. It's been wonderful being at SNL for as long as I was able to be there. But now I'm getting to do things outside of there."

She went on to tease several upcoming projects, though she refrained from revealing too many details.
