Idris Elbaand his wife,Sabrina Elba, are celebrating seven years of marriage.
To mark the occasion on Sunday, April 26, theHijackactor, 53, shared a tribute to his wife onInstagram.
"7 is the magical number," he wrote. "We are 7 years deep in a magical marriage @sabrinaelba I love you even though you share me with all the sister wives…(You started that) you’re my wifey ❤️❤️❤️❤️ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!"
Idris' post included a slideshow of photos of the couple from over the years, along with a few of their memorable cameos. One image shows a large billboard featuring the twoposing for an adfor S’ABLE Labs, the skincare brand that they co-founded. Another depicts them asSimpsonscharacters.
Idris and Sabrinamet at a partyin Vancouver in 2017 while the actor was filming a movie in the Canadian city. "I went out on my only day off, true story, it was a Sunday night, I went to this party, and there she was,” he recalled onThe Viewin 2019. “It was love at first sight. The rest is history."

The pair got engaged in February 2018. TheWirestar popped the question to Sabrina, 36, onstage at Rio Cinema in London during a preview of his directorial debut,Yardie.

“It was a little spontaneous, if I’m honest,” Idris told PEOPLE months later. “I was at a cast and crew screening and among people I loved. We had all worked so hard for this project, so I was like, 'I’m doing it right now, here, today.' "
He and Sabrina wed on April 26, 2019, in Marrakesh, Morocco. They exchanged vows at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel, and prior to the ceremony, they hosted a rehearsal dinner at Amanjena, perBritish Vogue. “There was a huge festive party with camels and fire dancers and dancing,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.
During his 2019 appearance onThe View, Idris shared that he was initially against getting married again after two previous marriages.
“I have been married before and I famously said I wouldn’t get married again. But I met someone that opened me up," he said of Sabrina.
He added, “I’m actually the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
Reflecting onwhat makes Sabrina "the one,"Idris told PEOPLE in November 2018 that the pair have "good chemistry."
“She makes me laugh, and we share common goals. She makes me happy,” he said. “She makes me celebrate my successes, and when I’m not too sure about stuff, she makes me think.”
