In the Tuesday, March 10 episode of The Tonight show, Duff was asked by hostJimmy Fallonto choose between herA Cinderella Storyco-star,Chad Michael Murray; herGossip Girlco-starPenn Badgley, and herLizzie McGuire Movieco-star Yani Gellman.
Duff, 38, picked Murray.
"I'm just going to stick to it, because I just watched it with my daughter, and it's embarrassing that she always wants to watch it,"Duff told Fallon. "I'm going to say Chad Michael Murray."

Duff continued: "It was the walk up the bleachers," a nod to a pivotal scene in the film. "And the rain drop, I was like, 'Wow, this is romantic!'"

InA Cinderella Story,which premiered in 2004, Duff played "Diner Girl" Sam, an overlooked high-schooler who, for one night, got to be a princess — and have her moment with her Prince Charming (aka Austin Ames, played by Murray, now 44).

Speaking toVanity Fairearlier this year, the actress and singer spoke about her 4-year-old daughter Mae's reaction toone particular aspect of the storyline.
"My 4-year-old has watched this movie and also picked up on like, how could he not know it's you in that mask? And I was like, 'It's the age-old question, honey,' " she told the outlet. "And she's like, 'But it's you. You are right there. I don't understand. How does he not know?' I'm like, 'I know.'"
Murray has also revisited the film, even dressing like his character Austin Amesto take his wifeSarah Roemerto a prom-themed eventin 2017.
TheOne Tree Hillactor slipped into the Prince Charming costume he famously wore to the Halloween homecoming dance in the movie which he revealed in an Instagram story video.
