Taylor Swift is opening up about her infamous 4th of July group photo with Selena Gomez as well as Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, Ashley Avignone and Sydney Ness

She reflected on the image in a new interview with SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up

"How deranged is that post? I think back on that, I'm like... there's no way," said Swift, nodding to the fact that multiple people in the photo are now engaged

Love found Taylor Swift and some of her friends at an unexpected time.

In a new interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up, the pop superstar, 35, looked back on the infamous 4th of July group shot she posted to Instagram in 2023 boasting the single status of her and several friends — completely unaware that was about to change for multiple people in the photo.

"Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies," wrote Swift at the time alongside the photo of herself, Selena Gomez as well as Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, Ashley Avignone and Sydney Ness.

"See you tonight Kansas Cityyy," added Swift in the caption, one day before Travis Kelce attended her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City — which ultimately led to their relationship. Not only is the couple now engaged, but so are Gomez, 33, and Benny Blanco as well as Este, 39, and Jonathan Levin.

Swift spoke about the post, which seems quite prescient in retrospect, on SiriusXM Hits 1. "How deranged is that post? I think back on that, I'm like... there's no way," she said.

"I'm in this picture with a bunch of girls. A lot — not just me and Selena — a few of the other girls found their person right after that," continued the Grammy winner. "And the fact that it was right before the Kansas City show, where like, I'd been like, 'Happy Independence Day from your local, single girlies' or something like that. And then I the next day go and play in Kansas City — not knowing that Travis was gonna come to the show."

"It's unreal," she added in the interview, conducted on Sunday, Oct. 5. "It's his birthday today, too. So, I'm just thinking about how grateful I am that he exists. And also how happy I am for my friends when they find happiness."

The "Elizabeth Taylor" singer then spoke about attending Gomez and Blanco's wedding. "Selena was, like, the most beautiful — not just the most beautiful bride... the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," she detailed. "Just so happy and she deserves it so much. And you only wish that for people, you know?"

Swift's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, was released on Friday, Oct. 3.
