On Friday, Oct. 31, the "Beautiful Soul" singer's wife, Katie Peterson, 37, shared snaps of their son Archer, 5 months, dressed in his first Halloween costume: a puffin. The little one was joined by the family of three's dog, who wore a fish costume.
"Our puffling caught a fish 🐧🎣🐡 #happyhalloween," Peterson wrote in the caption.
McCartney, 38, commented under the adorable photos, "The Skipper and his first mate! ⚓️."

Since baby Archer entered the world in May, he has already had several special first-time experiences. When McCartney joined the Jonas Brothers at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in August, the night was extra special for McCartney because Peterson and their then-3-month-old son were in the crowd cheering him on. The special occasion marked the newborn's first time attending a concert.
After the show, Peterson shared a recap via Instagram from Archer's first concert experience. The proud mom posted a few snaps and videos of her family of three before and after the concert. Peterson captioned the post, "Archers 1st concert ✔️🎧🏹."
On Tuesday, Oct. 14, the boy mom shared snaps of her and son Archer, attending the In Technicolor artist's New York City show at The Rooftop at Pier 17. In the photos, Peterson shared several pictures from backstage and throughout the day.
In several of the shots, baby Archer can be seen wrapped in a custom-made blanket with the words "Beautiful Soul" stitched in white, script letters. The blanket sweet nod to McCartney's 2004 hit "Beautiful Soul."
"Apparently the answer to 'How Do You Sleep' is at daddy's concert 🎧👶🏼 🏹," she captioned the photos.

On Tuesday, June 17, the couple shared the first public photos of their baby boy, who was originally due in early August, to social media.
"Archer James McCartney took center stage on 5/7/25 💙🏹 ," the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip actor and Peterson began in a joint Instagram post.
A carousel of images from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) accompanied the caption, showing the newborn dressed in an all-white onesie with baby blue stitching. "Archer" was written in cursive on the front of the garment, over his chest.
"Our sweet Archie couldn't wait to meet us and arrived a bit earlier than expected. We are so in love with him," the proud parents said.
