King Charles and Prince Harry recently met for the first time in 19 months.
Queen Camilla strongly opposes reconciliation, still upset over Harry's criticisms of her in his memoir Spare.
Camilla believes it's "too late" for Harry to make amends and thinks Charles is "a fool" for welcoming him back.
In case you missed it: King Charles and Prince Harry sat down together a few weeks ago for the first time in 19 months (!!), and though the meeting reportedly went well, there are a few people apparently who don't love the idea of a reconciliation between Harry and the King. For instance: Queen Camilla.
According to a royal insider for the National Examiner, "It's not just William who finds the idea of Charles reconciling with his traitor son repugnant. Camilla will never forgive Harry." Apparently, she still isn't quite over the revelations that came out of Harry's 2023 memoir, Spare.
Per the source, "She's still livid over what he wrote about her in Spare and what he said in follow-up interviews."
If you need a refresh, Harry had more than a few unkind things to say about Camilla in Spare—and while it's been a few years since the memoir dropped, he recently defended Spare to The Guardian, saying his "conscience is clear." Side note: The explosive interview came just after Harry had tea with Charles...and the royals were not happy about it.
As the source explained to the Examiner, Camilla believes "it's too late" for Harry to make amends, and she thinks Charles is "a fool" to let his younger son back into their lives.
"It will backfire when Harry and Meghan [Markle] do another of their ghastly tell-alls," the insider continued. "Camilla understands blood is thicker than water but thinks it's sending a poor message to his other son, the future king."
And while Prince William doesn't always see eye-to-eye with his stepmom, he's reportedly aligned with her on this matter. Though Charles and Kate Middleton are reportedly both "urging" William to "to show mercy and give peace a chance," he's simply not having it.
Per another source for the Examiner: "Until Harry shows he's changed over a long period of time, he's simply not interested."
