Taylor Swift's latest vinyl drop in support of her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, features a surprising career first from the global superstar, and fans are feeling emotional over the sweet gesture.
On Thursday, Aug. 21, the singer drops a new set of variants called the "Baby, That's Show Business" Edition, with one vinyl imitating a starburst with bright yellow and orange streaks (named the Lovely Bouqet Golden Vinyl) and one looking like a glittering night sky (named the Lakeside Beach Blue Sparkle Vinyl). Both record styles come with the same alternative album art, which finds the singer decked out in full showgirl regalia with a crystal two-piece costume, a thick choker with dangling pendants, and an ornate headpiece with yellow feathers, with yellow and white feathered boas draped over her arms.
For the first time in her illustrious career, Swift was not the only figure depicted in her album art. In the latest photo to grace a vinyl gatefold, Swift was surrounded by some of the dancers who performed with her during the Eras Tour, including Tori Evans and Audrey Douglass, decked out in similar garb.

Fans were touched by the inclusion of some of the Eras crew, who went viral just as often as Swift did throughout the record-breaking, nearly two-year-long tour.
"I love that it's the eras tour dancers! It's soo special," one gushed, while another shared a pair of crying emojis as they realized it was "the eras dancers ðŸ˜ðŸ˜."
"It's so fun!!" someone else celebrated.
Evans and Douglass both took to their Instagram Stories following the release of the latest album cover, with the former sharing a post from Swift announcing the new vinyl records (both of which have already sold out) and wondering, "What is life right now 😱😱😱😱."
"Love this incredible woman and my beautiful friends that I get to call family 💛," she added.

Meanwhile, Douglass shared the same post and questioned, "Am I dreaming?" with a sparkle emoji. "I'll be a showgirl with these ladies any day!"
So far, Swift has orchestrated three unexpected countdowns to reveal 1) four special edition CDs, each with a different cover photo, 2) the "Shiny Bug" Edition vinyl variant, and 3) the latest vinyl variants mentioned above. The singer is a pro at surprising her fanbase, but fans think they've noticed a bit of a trick to the ongoing countdowns, as the first one started at five hours, the second at four hours, and the third at three hours—are we in for two more countdowns of two and one hours? Are the countdowns in and of themselves a countdown?
Stay tuned to find out!
