Actor Mark Hamill, 73, says he was approached to appear in the infamous body horror movie, The Human Centipede Part 2, which premiered in 2011.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly in August 2025, Hamill said he was disgusted when he found out details about the Human Centipede sequel. Needless to say, Hamill turned down being in the project.

"Someone said, 'They want you to be in The Human Centipede Part 2.' And I said, 'What's The Human Centipede?' They explained the premise to me, and I went, 'Oh my God! Thank you for putting those images in my head, and I'll never forgive you for doing so.' But that was an easy one," said Hamill during the Entertainment Weekly interview. "I said, 'No, don't send the script.' The premise alone — I'll never see one, and I really resent the fact that some human being thought of that concept of sewing people together, mouth to anus. Goodbye, and never enter my life again."

Hamill has been a mainstay in the entertainment industry for five decades. Arguably, his most famous role is Luke Skywalker in George Lucas' Star Warsfilm franchise. Hamill spoke about auditioning for the first Star Wars film, titled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, which was released in 1977, in an August 2025 interview on This Morning. According to Hamill, he was confused by the film's script and believed it was a parody when he was trying out for Luke. The actor said he approached Harrison Ford, who was auditioning for his iconic role as Han Solo, to help clear up his confusion because Ford was in Lucas' 1973 film, American Graffiti.

"I didn't get the whole script. I was doing a screen test but it was only eight pages. And I'm thinking, 'Who talks like this?' So I said to Harrison, 'You were in American Graffiti. This is like a parody?' You know what he said, 'Hey kid, let's just get it done.' He was no help at all," quipped Hamill.
