Sometimes the coolest moments happen when you least expect them.

Aerosmith just dropped footage from their vault that fans had no idea even existed – and it features none other than Michael J. Fox jamming out to Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" right alongside Steven Tyler.

The unexpected crossover between Hollywood and rock royalty showcases Fox wielding his guitar skills alongside Tyler and the band. The frontman, sporting his iconic striped pants, belts out the lyrics while Fox channels his inner Marty McFly.

The band's Instagram post captured the moment, "Jamming 'Johnny B. Goode' with none other than Marty McFly himself - Michael J. Fox!"

Fans who discovered this buried clip expressed their shock and excitement. One follower commented, "WOAH! I've never seen this! So badass," while another wrote, "This is unheard of. Thanks for sharing."

This performance holds a special meaning that goes far beyond a typical celebrity guest appearance. Fox's connection to "Johnny B. Goode" runs deep, stemming from one of cinema's most memorable musical moments in the 1985 blockbuster Back to the Future.

In that unforgettable scene, McFly travels back to 1955 and rocks with Marvin Berry & The Starlighters, introducing the song to an audience decades before its actual creation.

While Fox's guitar playing looks absolutely convincing in both the movie and his jam with Aerosmith, the actor (who does know how to play), has been honest about the technical aspects of his musical performances.

During the filming of Back to the Future, Fox worked extensively with guitar instructor Paul Hanson to master the visual elements of playing, even though the audio was provided by professional musicians.

Fox explained his preparation process to Empire, "When I did the 'Johnny B. Goode' scene, I had a great guitar teacher who taught me how to play. I said to Bob, 'When I do this scene, I play guitar, so you can finger-sync me. Feel free to cut to my hands any time you want.' Having said that, it put pressure on me to get it right."

The story behind Fox's Back to the Future guitar has become something of a Hollywood mystery in recent years. The original instrument he used during filming has vanished, sparking an ongoing search.

The beloved actor himself has become increasingly vocal about wanting to recover this piece of cinema history, joking that it might be "somewhere lost in the space-time continuum, or in some teamster's garage."

Fox has made public appeals for its return, saying, "If you know where it is, if you know who has it — call us, text us. We need that guitar. I need it."
