Gomez shared the photo in a post about her upcoming 33rd birthday, declaring in the caption that the past year was the "most beautiful" of her life
As Selena Gomez heads into her 33rd year, she's still got bestie Taylor Swift by her side!
In a July 20 Instagram post, Gomez — who turns 33 on July 22 — declared that the past year was the "most beautiful" of her life alongside a carousel of photos of her loved ones, including longtime BFF Swift.
In the new picture of the friend duo — one of several shots that appeared to be from the same bash — the "Bluest Flame" singer posed alongside Swift, 35, while sitting in a pile of metallic balloons. The soon-to-be birthday girl stretched her hand toward the camera in the shot, while the "Karma" songstress leaned toward her, staring up into the lens.
Both stars appeared to be wearing festive, glittering outfits for the occasion, which Gomez documented with several more photos — including some PDA-filled snaps with her fiancé, Benny Blanco.

The I Said I Love You First collaborators — who got engaged in December 2024 — wrapped their arms around each other in one couple shot and shared a smooch in another. The pair also posed together in a group shot, in which Gomez, sitting on the ground, wrapped herself around the producer's leg.
Also in the carousel, the Rare Beauty founder posed solo, wearing a fuzzy coat over her glittering pantsuit.
In the caption, the Only Murders in the Building actress thanked her friends and followers in a reflective message tied to her upcoming personal milestone.
"As I prepare to celebrate my 33rd birthday, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey that has brought me here," Gomez began. "This past year has truly been the most beautiful year of my life, and I owe so much of that to all of you."

Swift was last seen with Gomez in late May, when the pair reunited for a girls night out in New York City. They chatted while dining together at The Monkey Bar on May 31, per photos shared by Deuxmoi.

The stars have been good friends for years, first crossing paths when they were each dating a Jonas brother — Swift was seeing Joe, while Gomez was linked to Nick — back in 2008. (Now, Gomez is engaged to Blanco, 37, while Swift has been dating NFL star Travis Kelce since 2023.)
Over the years, the musicians have celebrated each other on various occasions, from marking their birthdays with sweet tributes to promoting each other's releases. Most recently, Gomez congratulated Swift on regaining control of her masters. "Yes you did that Tay. So proud!" the beauty mogul wrote on Instagram.
And when Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement late last year, the "Love Story" singer was quick to celebrate the happy news — and tease her involvement in their nuptials.
On Gomez's Instagram post announcing the engagement, Swift wrote, "Yes I will be the flower girl."
