The wife of speedway star Tai Woffinden has broken her silence after her husband was left in a coma following a major crash last Sunday. Woffinden, 34, from Scunthorpe, was involved in a collision with his Rzeszow club team-mate during a race in Poland. He was airlifted to hospital in Krosno for emergency treatment while the meeting was subsequently abandoned. Club officials confirmed Woffinden suffered multiple fractures and an injury to his chest during the pile-up.
