Vijay Singh set to miss the Masters as former winner withdraws just days before major championship tees off
Former Masters champion Vijay Singh has withdrawn from the major championship, tournament organizers announced Monday morning. Just three days before the first major of the year, the 62-year-old informed the Masters Competition Committees that he would not be teeing it up at Augusta National this week. Singh, who slipped into the Green Jacket back in 2000, cited injury as his reasoning for no longer being able to play the prestigious tournament.
