Thomas Tuchel has revealed he made the controversial call to name Jordan Henderson in his first England squad six weeks ago. Henderson has not played for the national team since November 2023, just months after he left Liverpool to move to Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. He was subsequently booed by England fans on his return to Wembley, and was left out of Gareth Southgate's Euro 2024 squad despite returning to Europe to play for Ajax last January.
