The problem is that we know what happens now. Eight World Cup qualifying games to come and Harry Kane will be among the goals. He always is at this point and there is absolutely nothing about his domestic form or his fitness to suggest that it will be any different against Albania, Latvia, Andorra and Serbia. In qualifying for Euro 2024, England's captain scored eight times, failing in only two of eight matches.
