Alexander Isak has been ruled out of Newcastle's crunch game with Liverpool with 'a slight groin issue', the club have said. The Magpies take on Liverpool on Wednesday night in the Premier League in what is essentially a dress rehearsal of the Carabao Cup final, which is on March 16. It is a crunch game in their hunt to finish in the Champions League places, with Eddie Howe's men sixth in the standings prior to kick off - behind fifth-placed Manchester City on goal difference.
