Chelsea could make a late swoop for Evan Ferguson, the Brighton striker who they have tracked ever since he broke through and is available either on loan or permanently in the closing days of the January transfer window. Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Everton, Tottenham and West Ham have all been linked with the 20-year-old, and Enzo Maresca's side are the latest to join a race described by Seagulls sources as wide open.
