Three sports Australia loves - hockey, netball and rugby sevens - are facing the boot from the the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with fewer events making the cut after Victoria backed out of its hosting duties. The '26 Games will feature just 10 sports, down from the 19 on the program when the tournament was last held in Birmingham in 2022. Only swimming and athletics are guaranteed to appear at the Games after Glasgow stepped in following the Victorian government's withdrawal as host last year.
