Former Tottenham head coach lines up shock first managerial job with Anderlecht as the ex- midfielder eyes top job in Belgium

Tottenham assistant coach Ryan Mason is a contender to takeover at Belgian club Anderlecht. Mason, who is currently part of Ange Postecoglou's backroom team, is in the running to replace Brian Riemer, who was sacked by Anderlecht last month. The former England midfielder believes he is ready for a crack at his first manager's job after serving his coaching apprenticeship at Tottenham. Mason has been working with the Tottenham first team since 2021 and has served two stints as the club's interim head coach following the sackings of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
