A former England international is set to receive his official England cap almost 20 years after making his only national team appearance. A substitute appearance in England's 4-0 friendly win over Greece at Old Trafford in August 2006 saw a goalkeeper make his only outing for the Three Lions. However, the former Liverpool shot-stopper never received the commemorative cap that typically comes with making a Three Lions appearance. Chris Kirkland played 45 minutes of the uneventful encounter against Greece before never making another matchday squad and will be honoured at Wembley on Thursday.
